This is the exhaust system for the serious racer. A true merged exhaust. Four 1 5/8" large diameter mandrel bent tubes are cut and fitted into a long merged collector. Header features thick H.D. flanges with ground flat gasket surfaces. All internal welds are ground for true high flow performance. Includes an EMPI swivel flange racing stinger. Use the Hideaway Muffler of Phat Boy to get to & from the track. Eliminates heater boxes. |

Competition Merged Exhaust For Bolt-on Heater Boxes |

Empi now offers an 1-5/8" Merged Competition Header System for use with special 1-1/2" flanged racing heater boxes. This enables you to have a defrost/heater system and still have a hi-performance merged exhaust system. Header features thick H.D. flanges with ground flat gasket surfaces. All internal welds are ground for true high flow performance. Headers are supplied with an EMPI swivel flange racing stinger. Heater boxes have lightweight inner coil to still generate good heat output while 1-1/2" tubing allows for less restriction on your hi-performance motor! Header system is provided with a stinger. Then choose from heater boxes of 1-/58" J-tubes to complete your installation. All components are available also with a ceramic coat finish instead of paint. In addition you can use the hideaway muffler or PHAT boy to get you to & from the track.. |

Empi new premium extractors are made from 1 3/8" 16 gauge steel with extra thick flanges. Tubes are mandrel bent to insure smooth exhaust gas flow. All flanges are surface ground to ensure a flat sealing surface. Empi's premium extractors are available with flared lower tubes for use with J-tubes (welding required). The 3-bolt mufflers flange is at the 1:00 position and will accept a wide variety of mufflers and stingers. Available with black painted finish or super durable silver ceramic coat. Fits 1300-1600cc based engines. p/n 3103 & 3104 includes flanges and hardware to modify existing heater box/J-tube (welding required). |
